If you love brewing your own beer and are keen to get into the micro-brewing industry (and live near Bendigo VIC), we have good news!

From February next year the Bendigo TAFE in Victoria will be offering a micro-brewing course. Students will be able to complete a Certificate III in Food Processing (Micro-Brewing).

The course will run for 12 months and offer hands on experience at the Bendigo Brewing Company’s new premises which will be built at the old Palmer’s Gym site on McCrae Street.

Noticing a gap in the market and with lots of interest from students in the home brew and craft brew industries, the course will be an entry level qualification.

Part of the driving force for offering this course is to add skilled labour into the industry and ultimately improve the end product (delicious and unique craft beers).

There’s 20 spots available for next year with more coming in the future. You can find more info at bendigotafe.edu.au.
